Summer Library Challenge

NOAA Library's Summer Library Challenge 2025 - Navigating the Information Waters

Join us for the summer - June through August we’re promoting different library resources and tools through short, fun, library-centric games.

  • Unlike our past challenges, we will not be tracking or assigning points - you’ll have a chance every month to be a “winner” by successfully completing our games!
  • We will also have a limited supply of NOAA pins to give to our loyal readers - watch our emails closely for clue words. At the end of the summer you will have the chance to tell us as many clue words as you can for a pin!

Scroll down to keep up with Ferdinand the Flamingo's adventures through the researcher lifecycle in comic-strip and find our monthly challenges!

June Challenges

June is all about NOAA Library subscription content = databases, journals, and ebooks! As a special government library, we collect and subscribe to resources that cater to NOAA's mission and our researchers subject areas. Our content reflects the agency focus on ocean, coast, and atmosphere. As shown by Ferdinand above, the librarians of NOAA are the experts on assisting with research scoping, literature searching, and information resource support.

Interested in any of these library resources? Reach out to your librarian! No time like the present to establish a relationship with your local library - virtual or physical.

The June challenges focus on these library areas - good luck!
